Just A DBloC Update

Just some bullet points to hit:

- It is so fun watching WWE now that Angelus cares about it. Especially since I don't mind Cena, who is one of Angelus' favorites.

- We have shattered my previous traffic record, thanks in part to DBloC and thanks in part to the Leverage RPG review being the most read post I've ever had.

- I played the MWAHAHAHA! card game by White Wolf this weekend with Russ...it's not bad, but they made EVERYTHING way too wordy. A little brevity (and clarity) would have gone a long way.

- I am currently way too busy for the amount of compensation I am getting...and it's not even like I'm working towards anything right now, because I'm not...just treading water. Something's gotta change somewhere.

- There is no defending the new Buffy reboot...especially when the series is still ongoing in comic book format.

- Check out my wife's blog over on the Blog List...Faith got to try out a communication device today, which we will hopefully get approved for, and she will hopefully benefit from.

- The Walking Dead hopefully put to rest any concerns that it was too "slow" after last night's episode...it all kinda went to pot. Still some stuff that doesn't quite click, but overall it's great.

- Anyway, nothing big today, because I am very, very busy and way, way behind...just keeping up with DBloC.

[DBloC] Today is a total non-starter

Yeah, so I've started, stopped and deleted this blog post about a dozen times.

If I weren't doing DBloC, I wouldn't be posting today...=P I can't sleep worth a crap this week, which has me running behind and unable to concentrate on anything.

Stuff to look forward to:

- I'll be reviewing GREEN HORNET: GOLDEN AGE REMASTERED #4 and DEAN KOONTZ' FRANKENSTEIN: PRODIGAL SON VOL. 2 #2 (got all of that) over at Project Fanboy by the weekend.

- I think I'm going to start hammering out some characters I have laying around in various supers systems, including Marvel SAGA, ICONS, BASH, Savage Worlds and Hearts & Souls.

- Not ENTIRELY sure what's next in the Review Queue...I'm kicking away at a book that's not going to turn out pretty, I don't think, and those never excite me.

- In awesome, non-review news, I'm sure I'm going to have to partake in Indian Health Services again very soon as I have a tooth giving me INSANE fits again, as well as noticeable hearing loss developing in my left ear...(along with much ringing).

- If you haven't picked it up yet, my first published comic work is available at DriveThruComics for the low, low price of 99 cents. I wrote the back-up story HELLRAZER: LIVING IN SHADOWS.

Anyway, I hope to add more productive stuff to the blog through the rest of the month, but no promises.

Tommy's Take on The Walking Dead

As part of DBloC, I thought I would do a little talking about The Walking Dead today, both the TV series (early candidate for best show currently on TV) and the comic book (probably my favorite comic of all time).

So be warned...there are spoilers.

DBloC - I'm in.

Sean Preston of Reality Blurs has thrown down the gauntlet: The Daily Blog Challenge...lots of writer types are working on their novels for the National Novel Writing Month (or whichever it is), and Sean decided to hit the Daily Blog Challenge for this of us who aren't going to be doing that (due to time or whatever reasons). I'm gonna attempt it, with two blog posts today (making up for my missing post from last night, since he posted the challenge right before I left for work).

So...just some random stuff to kick this off:

- Last week, Kenny and I played The Pine Ridge Horror for Savage Worlds. I've been meaning to sit and do an actual play, but a week later and it hasn't happened yet. I believe tonight we are going to launch back into Marvel SAGA.

- Obviously, I have more reviews upcoming, like Progenitor for Wild Talents, Shangai Vampocalypse for Savage Worlds, and more "mini-reviews", including a three-pack I'm posting today that really should have come out for Halloween.

- I'm going to try to stat up Hellrazer and Tonton Macoute from Equinox #1 (which is now only 99 cents at DriveThruComics) in probably BASH, ICONS and Marvel SAGA and post them by the end of the month, but no promises on that.

- And we'll see what else comes along.
